HARRISBURG, PA (April 12, 2016) – PMA PAC, the affiliated political action committee of the Pennsylvania Manufacturers’ Association (PMA), has endorsed the Honorable Mike Regan (R-Cumberland/York) for election in the 31st Senatorial District.

Since being elected to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in 2013, Rep. Regan has been a staunch advocate for a pro-growth, pro-production business agenda. As a fiscal conservative, he has voted against tax increases and has voted only for balanced budgets that protect taxpayers and job creators.

In a multi-candidate Republican primary with no Democratic Party challengers, the primary election on Tuesday, April 26, will surely decide the next Senator from the 31st district.

“Mike Regan has consistently championed better economic competitiveness for Pennsylvania,” said David N. Taylor, President of the PMA. “He has been a leader in stopping Tom Wolf’s tax-and-spend agenda and it’s imperative that the citizens of the 31st senatorial district elect a candidate who will strongly defend Pennsylvania’s productive sector against the governor’s Big Government schemes.”

A former United States Marshall, Rep. Regan exemplifies love of country, community, and family in all that he does. Having also served as the Deputy Inspector General of Pennsylvania, he has first-hand experience in reforming government to be more efficient and effective. His breadth of knowledge is why he was identified as a caucus leader and was recently appointed to Speaker’s Task Force on Pension Reform – the most pressing issue facing our Commonwealth’s fiscal stability.

“Rep. Regan has served his constituents, and all Pennsylvanians, with distinction through his service in the House,” Taylor said. “Mike’s thoughtful and principled approach has served him well throughout his career and we look forward to his continued leadership in the Senate.
