The Pennsylvania Manufacturers Association and 165 other organizations filed an Amicus Brief in Federal Court in support of overturning the Clean Power Plan. PMA joined other powerhouse organizations such as: National Association of Manufacturers (NAM), The United States Chamber of Commerce, the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), and the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry.
The brief states that "Amici have an especially strong interest in the development of sound energy policy and economically responsible environmental regulations. But Amici and their members will bear enormous economic and social disruptions as a direct result of the Rule. Amici respectfully submit this brief to explain the severe consequences to small, medium, and large businesses and their local communities that will flow from EPA’s regulation of carbon emissions from existing power plants."
