Governor Tom Corbett earned praise last Friday from the “dean” of the conservative movement in Pennsylvania. Emphasizing the administration’s pro-growth efforts, Frederick W. Anton III told a crowded ballroom at the 25th annual Pennsylvania Leadership Conference in Camp Hill that he was “100 percent behind the re-election of Tom Corbett.”

On Thursday, March 28, Governor Tom Corbett will be in the Lehigh Valley to announce a campaign to implement his Manufacturing Council’s (GMAC) top recommendation under its Talent and Workforce initiative -- the Adopt a School program. Whoever said manufacturing is dead certainly isn’t paying attention.

When he first took office, Governor Corbett walked into a public education funding gap. For over two years Pennsylvania’s school districts received a total of $1.7 billion in stimulus money. Over that same two-year period, public school employee salaries and benefits jumped by $1.3 billion.
